    Jesus is Your Protector

November 29, 2022 Dear God, good morning. The book God’s Promises for every day writes Jesus is your Protector. Thank you, Jesus, for helping me get a new car, a twenty-twenty-three Camry, yesterday. You knew my fears of driving the Volvo because it appeared to me that I did not feel safe in that car. It was a fun car but would need work in the future and was expensive to repair. Gas was expensive too. Thank you for a beautiful new car. Jesus, I know that you are my Protector today. In two-thousand-and sixteen, I surrendered to alcohol because the disease of alcoholism had beaten me up once again.…

    Feeling Discouraged

November 28, 2022 Dear God, Good morning. My heart is heavy with sadness that my poor sister Sunflower is suffering. Please hold her in your arms, Jesus, as you held me in your arms over a year ago. In today’s reading, God Promises for every day writes, “What to do when you feel discouraged? I admit I sometimes get discouraged, especially when I feel powerless over people, places, and things. It breaks my heart that my sister Sunflower is in the hospital again like “Doubting Thomas,” one of the twelve main disciples.” who did not believe that you, Jesus. I sometimes feel like Doubting Thomas when fear creeps in. Most…

    Holy Spirit God’s Helper

November 27, 2022 Dear God, good morning. I opened up my daily bible, and it speaks of the “Holy Spirit.” The Holy Spirit, according to Google dictionary, writes, “(in Christianity) the third person of the Trinity; God as spiritually active in the world.” Please bless my sister Sunflower with the Holy Spirit. She suffers from an illness that I don’t understand. She’s in a locked unit at a hospital in Haverhill, Massachusetts, where I live. Sunflower is suffering from mania which is part of her illness, and it’s not her fault that she’s sick. Sunflower can get aggressive when agitated if she’s threatened. According to Google dictionary, “Mania is a…

    Frantic and Stressed

November 26, 2022 Dear God, good morning. In the book God Promises for every day writes, “What do when you are Frantic and Stressed?” I love this verse in the Bible. “But the Spirit produces the fruits of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. There is no law that says these things are wrong. Galatians 5:22-23 That was a beautiful read. I do get frantic and get stressed out. I love the fruits of God’s love for us, and I would love to have the fruits of the Holy Spirit. I have experienced some of the fruits of the Holy Spirit with love, faithfulness,  peace, joy, and…

    Dependable Authority

November 25, 2022 Dear God, good morning. This morning I read the Bible, and it speaks about “The Bible is your Dependable Authority,” Dependable means “trustworthy and reliable.” I depend on you, Jesus, and trust you with all my heart and my soul sings with joy. Because I love you more. And I do rely on you for everything today. Thank you for getting me into college. When I graduated from North Shore Community College in nineteen- ninety-three. I wrote a letter to the headmaster at Wheelock College, requesting a Scholarship at their college. In that letter, I wrote “The Abolishment of Child Abuse, neglect and trafficking children into prostitution in…

    Anger and Resentment

November 24, 2022 Dear God, Good morning. I was at the 319 meetings, and the topic was anger and resentment. How to deal with those emotions. When I was drinking, I would get angry quickly. And hold onto resentments against people. I quickly snapped at people, especially my husband. My behavior was off the charts. From one to ten, I was feeling anxious. That’s why I drank alcohol because I wanted to drink too. There are no excuses to drink anymore. I hit rock bottom. I was sohba in two-thousand and two, and I was sohba in two-thousand and five. I was free from alcohol. I went to a psychiatrist…

    Blessings in Recovery

November 21, 2022   Dear God, good morning. Thank you for all the blessings I have received. Jesus. The Bible says, “God can give you more blessings than you need.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 The most important blessing I have received is Your love for us, Jesus. You took me out of the pits of hell and blessed me to get sohba again in twenty-sixteen. I was desperate for help because I was now drinking close to a gallon of red wine within two days. I was physically sick from drinking so much alcohol. I would come home late in the early mornings, and my husband shook his head with disbelief.…

    Fear in Recovery

November 19, 2022 Dear God, good morning. Today’s reading from the Bible writes, “What to do when you are afraid?” I have always been afraid my entire life, and I have feared people. Fear that they can hear what I’m thinking, fear of people touching me, talking to me, and of having children. People were not to be trusted because of what my biological mother would say to me, such as, ‘I brought you into this world, and I can take you out.” she said, “I’ll have your tubes tied so you won’t have children.” I believed her; I was only eight years old when she told me that. What…

    About The Unsaved.”

November 18, 2022 Dear God, Good morning. The reading is about “What the Bible has to say about, The Unsaved.” When I read this verse, I immediately thought about my biological parents. My mother refused you and was not a believer. My father got sohba, and Denise, my older sista, told me that he was repentant for his sins, Jesus. I sure hope so. According to you, Jesus, it say’s, “Jesus said to his followers, “Go everywhere in the world and tell the Good News to everyone. Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved, but anyone who does not believe will be punished.” Mark 16:15-16 I truly feel…

    The Return of Christ

November 17, 2022 Dear God, Good morning. The book God Promises for every day writes, “What the Bible has to say about, “The Return of Christ.” I believe that you are here with us in Spirit, Jesus, but there will be a time that you will show yourself to us. I’ll be so happy, joyful, and blessed on that day. The Bible writes, “When the Son of Man comes, he will be seen by everyone, like lightning flashes from the east to the west. Soon after the troubles of those days, the sun will grow dark, and the moon will not give its light. The stars will fall from the…
