August 12, 2022 Dear God, good morning. Today’s reading is about what to do when you doubt yourself. In recovery, I do doubt myself all the time. I am working on step four which states, “Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.” Pg 42 in the Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions is confusing for me. August 29, 2022 Dear God, Do I need to get baptized again to receive the “Holy Spirit?” It says it in the Scripture. I’ve been baptized as a baby but not as an adult. Do I need to get baptized in my adulthood? According to my experience, I felt the presence of you, God. It was when I was weeping for help last year, and I felt a warm feeling around my body. Yesterday, Jeanne was worried and felt something terrible, and she texted me, “Answer your phone.” Jeanne is so funny. Then she called me. We spoke for forty-five minutes. It writes, “When many hundreds of people can say that the consciousness of the presence of God is today the most important fact of their lives, they present a powerful reason why one should have faith.” I never had faith until last year, when I felt God’s presence. Step 4: Made a searching a fearless moral inventory of ourselves. After being in the program a while and getting through the first three steps, I’ll admit I was a little nervous about step 4. People told me it was the “the make it or break it” step and how some folks even relapsed during this time because it brought back a lot of trauma.
