Dear God, good morning. “God’s Promises for every day,” today’s reading is “What to do when you are Frantic and Stressed.” This is a big order, and I get frantic and stressed out. I know I can breathe, pause to calm me down, or I have to go to my room and cry or write to you, Jesus. Roman came in the room saying a guy said, “Be safe, Roman.” Just what Roman needs to hear. He is terrified of people, especially when his schizophrenia flares up. I have to live with someone who suffers from that illness. Thank you, God, for teaching me patience this morning. Because Roman kept interrupting my letters to you, Jesus, Roman is innocent, but sometimes he manipulates me, but it’s okay. Sometime this week, we’re going to Hampton Beach in New Hampshire. I can’t wait to see the sunrise over the ocean. Roman loves Hampton beach, which is a good thing. Roman can drive me crazy, and I still love him as a brother. I love the first paragraph. It writes, “But the Spirit produces the fruit of love, peace, joy, patience, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.” Galatians 5-22-23
My parents did not mention love in our home. Growing up, I experienced no love from my parents. “Love” Children need that love from their parents without affection, comfort, and love. A child can die. They’ve done studies to prove that without love, a child will act out, scream, shut down from its environment, and can die too without any form of love and affection. In my house, we learned that love was punishment, anger, sadness, and the only comfort. If my mother hurt me, Denise, Willy, and Sonflower would comfort each other. Thank you, Jesus, for my siblings. It says in the Bible if your mother or father leave me, God will take me in. I never knew that God would protect and love me. Because I didn’t know you, now that I’m getting to know you, Jesus, you promised us all the fruits of love, faith, peace, joy, goodness, gentleness, and much more for whoever believes in Christ the Lord.
I need to go down to the Church that says, Just Church.” I need someone to take me through the New Testament and learn about you, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. It writes: “But we are hoping for something we do not have yet, and we are waiting patiently. Also, the Spirit helps us with our weaknesses. We do not know how to pray as we should. But the Spirit  himself speaks to God for us, even begs God for us with deep feelings that words cannot explain.” Romans8:25-26 What is the Spirit? Is it you, sweet Jesus? I think you’re the Holy Spirit.
I have deep feelings for you, Jesus. You’re my brother, my higher power, my source of comfort. My faith is becoming stronger because of you, Jesus. I try to be more patient, which I need to work on. I’m not a patient person, and I wish I were—progress, not perfection. In our meetings, many people talk about you, Jesus, or their own Higher Power, of God. I love this fellowship, and it has no rules. And the fellowship has grown so much. Hundreds of countries have the fellowship, which is terrific.
Terri is my sponsor, she’s my friend, and she’s like a life coach. I love her as a sista. We’ve known each other for at least a year. Wow, time flies by so fast. Terri is teaching me how to clear the wreckage of my past, and she helps me to slow down, breathe, pause and proceed. Terri’s also teaching me about love, patients, and tolerance, and I’m learning more about the Big Book as I read it. I love it! Love you, Jesus, love me.
