Dear God, good morning. Today’s reading is about “The Grace of God.” And if we follow your teachings and do not sin anymore.  The Bible writes, You gave me life and showed me kindness, and in your care, you watched over my life.” Job 10-12
When I do look back, I can now see that you were with me in my darkest days while I was drinking. I was a falling down piss my pants, blackout alcoholic. I still kept drinking my sorrows away. I thought I was too young for this fellowship when I was twenty. Until I saw a lot of young people in the fellowship, which kept me sohba for ten years. And you kept me sohba, too, Jesus.
During my sohba years, I denounced you, sweet Jesus, and I am truly sorry. I was too busy for you. My sohba friends and I went out every Saturday night to a lot of sohba dances and Sohba Clubs. Where there was no alcohol served, and you could dance the night away. At least ninety people would be there at the Club. Then the bunch of us would go to the I Hop breakfast joint to eat or at Denny’s breakfast place too. And got home at three in the morning, but we had a lot of fun and laughs.
Almost every weekend, we young people would go to the young people meeting in Salem, Massachusetts, which had at least sixty people in that meeting hall. Between going to College, working as a nanny, and attending the fellowship.
We had group Anniversaries. My group, the Four Winds in Malden, Massachusetts, just celebrated 60 years. I was the greeter for the Four Winds meeting for years. I wish I could see better at night so that I could be with my friends and the old-timers at the Four Winds group. The fellowship helps so many alcoholics,
Since my late twenties, I’ve lost so many friends from alcohol and drug overdoses. At least forty of my friends died a horrible death. Pam, Mary, and Judy all died from a drug overdose at two thousand and twelve three young beautiful women are gone from my life. I pray that they are with you, Jesus.
Like Job, he was frightened, but he trusted God. Like the disciples. When you, Jesus, took the disciples out on a boat where there was a terrible storm and the men asked you for protection from the high seas as water entered the boat, The disciples were terrified, but Jesus, you assured them sure them that would be safe with you.
That’s me, I get scared about something and run. I’ve been a runner my whole life. Even in sobriety. Running from you, Jesus, and or God, who I thought was not merciful, because I’m a sinner and I would enter the gate of hell where the Evil One lives.
But having “The Grace of God’s” protection has helped me to see the truth about God’s love for us. The Bible writes, “Because of his love, God already decided to make us his own children through Jesus Christ.” Ephesians 1:5-7
Through you, Jesus, I may have been touched by your Grace of God. I believe in the fruits of your love for us to receive. Jesus, according to God, you will be the Almighty and all-powerful God. You were with me in times of sorrow and protected me from harm many times.
Let us feel very sure that we can come before God’s throne where there is grace. There we can receive mercy and grace to help us when we need it.”   Hebrews 4:16
In the morning, Terri, my friend and sponsor, and I will pray to you every morning. I may worry a little, but I give you all my difficulties because worrying is the devil’s playground. I feel the Evil One recently tried to scare me. They say the closer you are to God, the more the devil shows himself. Well, I pity Lucifer because God sent Lucifer right to hell.
I sure hope I don’t visit hell with all my sins. when I came to you for help, and you came to me while I was crying out to you, begging for you to lift the agony of depression away and other melodies of detoxing from alcohol at home. When I really needed hospitalization. I was so sick for five days stuck in bed, like in the movie The Exorcist. Sweet Jesus, you got me sohba, and I feel blessed by your unconditional love. And that you have always helped to see through your eyes.
They say, “If you want to make God laugh,  tell him your plans.” That is funny but so true. I came to you in two-thousand sixteen when you, Jesus, you got me sohba once again. Thank you, Jesus. According to God, he wants us to come to him and teach us the fruits of the spirit, love, peace, kindness, joy, faithfulness, goodness, gentleness, and self-control. God says, “Don’t forget kindness and truth. Wear them like a necklace. Write them on your heart as if on a tablet…Trust the Lord with all your heart, and don’t depend on your own understanding.” Proverbs 3:3-6
I have worn the Blessed mother on my neck since nineteen-eighty-six. The Blessed mother brought you, Jesus, into this world so we can be blessed by you, Jesus. I absolutely love you, Jesus
