Patience and encouragement
June 15, 2022
Dear God, good morning. I had a good night’s sleep, thank you, Jesus. Today’s reading talks about trusting you, sweet Jesus, when I’m weak and sometimes feel hopeless. You came to me and lifted my spirit. I need to believe in you more. When I feel stressed and overwhelmed, I write to you, which helps me get closer to you, and then the stress disappears. Your golden name is “Prince of Peace.” According to God’s Promises for every day., “But the Spirit produces the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.” Galatians 5:22-23 Your Spirit lives inside me now. Your fruits help me function better in this world, especially under stress, patience, and encouragement.
According to the Scripture, we need to be patient with one another in this crazy world. I haven’t read or watched the news in many months now. It upsets me if I watch the news and have no peace of mind because the news is always negative. I love to read books. Right now, I’m reading “The Great Gatsby.” It’s a beautiful book, and Fernando bought it for me in Argentina, written in English. I loved the movie with Leo DiCaprio, who plays Mr. Gatsby. Incredible acting by Leo Di Caprio. He’s one of the best actors of my time.
Today’s reading in the God’s Promises for every day writes, “Everything that was written in the past was written to teach us. The Scriptures give us patience and encouragement so that we can have hope. Patience and encouragement come from God. And I pray that God will help you all agree with each other the way Crist Jesus wants.” Romans 15:4-5 I do need to work on my patience with people. I tend to get a little upset, whereas before, I’d snap at anyone because I thought I was always right. Well, that’s not the case today. I rather walk in peace with you, Jesus, instead of being “Right” all the time. I have the encouragement of hope in my heart, and my soul is filled with joy this morning; I can’t explain it. I just read the Scriptures and Psalms, which encourage me to live an honest life with love in my heart for you, Jesus, and my sistas and brothers.
Sweet Jesus, I have some medical problem with my right eye. Since they took out cataracts in my eye, I haven’t been able to see at night while driving my car. Please help me see again at night.
Great news I had an interview for a nanny position, and the mother, Becky, was so lovely to talk to. She has a three-year-old son, and it’s only part-time, which I can do. I’m grateful to you, Jesus, for helping me through the wonderful interview. Becky sounded happy when we were speaking about her child’s development. She was happy to know I’ve had experience caring for children with sensory problems. I hope I can get this job and help Becky’s three-year-old son with his struggles with sensory difficulties. I will pray for him; hopefully, I can grow with this family for two years. I’m hopeful today, and I love you, Jesus, for rescuing me.
