Dear God, good morning. Today’s reading talks about “Peace” They call you Jesus, the “Prince of Peace.” In God Promises for every day speaks about the peace you give us freely. I feel peace in my soul for you when I pray. According to my book, it states: “A child has been born to us; He will be responsible for leading the people. His name will be Wonderful Counselor, Powerful God, Father Who Lives Forever, Prince of Peace. Power and peace will be in his kingdom and will continue to grow forever…The Lord All-Powerful will do this because of his love for his people. Isaiah 9:6-7  I never had peace in my soul while trying to control my life without you, Jesus. I know I’ve said, ” Get me out of this jam; please,” while I was in the throws of my alcoholism.

I never knew what real peace felt like until you came to me. As you know, I ran away from you throughout the years. I moved away from my family in nineteen-eighty-eight to Beverly, Massachusetts, because I didn’t want to live near my father and mother. They were both still drinking, and I had to be at least thirty miles away to feel safe. I never trusted my parents. My mother was a habitual liar and lied to me on many occasions. My mother lied about me being jealous of my baby sister Crystal, and I love her like my other siblings.

When I visited my mother, she had me hold Crystal. I loved holding her, and she was such a beautiful baby. Then my mother wouldn’t let me see Crystal again until Crystal was sixteen years old. I reunited with my mother because Sunflower wanted all of us together. I wanted to see her. Crystal was a brat towards everyone, But she was sixteen, which explains her hormones were off the charts. Crystal became a teacher, and I’m a Pre-Scool-Teacher. I stay in contact with Crystal occasionally. I do need to call her next week. Jesus, thank you for putting Crystal back in my life again. She’s a love bug

. Jesus, I always need your peace. I’m learning to pause, breathe, and respond rather than react when I’m in despair., Now I feel peace of goodness, kindness, love, joy, and faithfulness in my heart. And my faith which comes from you, Jesus. Having peace in my heart fills me with love, faith, joy, and hope. I’m not perfect, but I’m a work in progress. I love the peace that you have given me. I love you very much. Jesus, love me.
