Prince of Peace

Dear God, Good morning. I was reading about Peace. According to the Bible, “Jesus is the “Prince of Peace” it writes, “Since we have been made right with God by our faith, we have peace with God. This happened through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 5:1 I need your peace, Jesus, especially when I get overwhelmed by situations. I need to breathe and pause and ask you for peace which you give so freely. I have peace in my heart. I can feel joy while I’m writing to you. The Bible writes, “I leave you my peace I give you. I do not give it to you as the world does. So don’t let your hearts be troubled or afraid.” I love John 14: 27 I love that passage because Jesus is the “Prince of Peace.” Now that I’ve gotten to know you, Jesus, six years ago, I prayed for peace, faith, and hope. The most important is love. According to 1 Corinthians 13:13 So, these three things continue forever: faith, hope, and love. And the greatest of these is love.” I love you so much, Jesus.
This may be a short letter to you. My stomach hurts, and Roman’s spitting up blood. We must take him to the hospital this morning. I’m worried about Roman. He hasn’t seen a primary doctor for years. He doesn’t have a primary doctor, so his caseworker is supposed to set up a time for poor Roman to meet with a doctor. How hard is that? I’m calling Greg and telling him that Roman is splitting up blood which could be severe. I need to get my glasses today and make some phone calls.
I’m also done smoking cigarettes. I need love, patience, and tolerance. I’m going to quit smoking for obvious reasons. Cigarettes, I believe, are keeping me ill. It smells, hurts my breathing, coughing a lot. So please help me not to smoke just for today. Easy does it, one day at a time. Some days will be a minute at a time. Please keep me away from a cigarette. Thank you, please give me your peace. I Love you, Jesus.
